Women's Hockey Places 18 on NEWHA All-Academic Team

EASTON, Mass. (June 7, 2024) – The New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) honored 164 student-athletes across all eight of its member institutions on Friday with All-Academic Team distinction. In their second season with the NEWHA, the Stonehill College women's ice hockey team surpassed its previous mark of 16 honorees in 2022-23, featuring 18 student-athletes on the 2023-24 All-Academic Team.

NEWHA ALL-ACADEMIC RELEASE

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team for the NEWHA, student-athletes must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade-point average in both the first and second semester. Sacred Heart led the way with 30 student-athletes named to the All-Academic Team, followed by LIU with 25, while Franklin Pierce and Post each added 22 to the list. Stonehill placed 18 student-athletes on the list, Assumption 17, and Saint Anselm and Saint Michael's each added 15.
