Team IMPACT and Stonehill

Team IMPACT is the only U.S. nonprofit that brings together sick kids and college sports teams to ensure no child is sidelined by sickness. Team IMPACT tackles the emotional trauma and social isolation experienced by children facing serious and chronic illnesses by matching them with a college athletic team. Through their two-year therapeutic program, that complements a child’s medical treatments, children develop relationships and skills that help them complete the full circle of healing. Established in 2011, Team IMPACT has already matched over 2,000 children with collegiate teams at over 700 institutions in 49 states, reaching over 60,000 student athletes.

Stonehill and Team IMPACT formalized their relationship that dates back to 2012 when the women's basketball program became the first Skyhawk team to sign a Team IMPACT teammate, Lexi, with a two-partnership starting in 2021-22.

Stonehill's Team IMPACT Fellows

Team IMPACT Fellows represent the organization on their specific campuses, and collaborate with the athletic department and greater campus community to raise awareness and increase program participation. In return, Team IMPACT provides opportunities for Fellows to build their skills in leadership, community organization, public speaking, and professional/career development, preparing them to be leaders in the workforce and beyond.
