A necessary and important component of intercollegiate athletics, athletic training and sports medicine services, are available for all of Stonehill College’s 450 intercollegiate student-athletes.  Stonehill College’s “Sports Medicine Team” consists of staff certified athletic trainers (ATC’s) who strive to provide the best possible care to our student-athletes while working in conjunction with local medical healthcare specialists to ensure that a thorough healthcare system is in place for the safety of our student-athletes.

While working under the broader scope of the Stonehill College Department of Athletics mission statement, the Athletic Training Department's primary mission is to provide quality medical care to our student-athletes.

The services delivered can be broken down into three primary categories: injury prevention, management of athletic injuries, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.  These three categories are combined to ensure that the student-athlete's return to competition is done in a thorough, timely, and most importantly, safe manner.

The underlying philosophy for this department is that the medical needs of the student-athlete will always be the first consideration for all members of our staff. We are committed to ongoing evaluation of our athletic training department and its protocols so our student-athletes can be assured of the highest quality of medical care.
