BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 9, 2022)- Blaine Lidsky hit his team-leading fourth home run, unfortunately, it was not enough as the Stonehill College baseball team fell to Lynn University, 10-3 Wednesday afternoon at the Lynn University Baseball field.

Key Moments:

  • Both sides were at a stalemate through the first five innings before Stonehill struck first in the top of the fifth when Roberti belted a solo shot to left for the 1-0 advantage.
  • Stonehill starter, Matt Smith kept the Fighting Knights at bay not allowing a hit through the first five innings and fanning three batters.
  • In the next inning, the Skyhawks added another run when Lidsky launched a solo homer to left and made it 2-0 midway through the contest.
  • However, the Fighting Knights broke things open in the bottom half of the inning with an eight-run sixth (8-2) that featured two-run RBI doubles from Yuzuki Okamura and Matt Archer
  • The Skyhawks ended up getting one run back in the seventh (8-3) when Noah Lucier grounded out to third which drove in Douglas who had singled earlier in the inning.
