WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 5, 2022)- Matt Farragher's late three-run home run helped seal a victory for the Stonehill College baseball team topping Assumption University, 7-1 Saturday evening at Alfond Stadium.

Standout Performers:

Key Moments:

  • Stonehill struck first in the bottom half of the second inning when Marshall ripped a double to right-center and drove in Trey Ciulla-Hall who reached from a single earlier that inning.
  • Assumption responded in the top of the fourth to tie things back up after he hit an RBI to the third-base side but that would be the only run they'd see the rest of the contest.
  • In just his second collegiate start, Haas tossed eight innings and allowed just one run in the fourth while striking out eight Greyhounds as the Skyhawks' offense continued to give him run support.
  • Marshall collected his second RBI on the afternoon (2-1) after he sent a single to right field to score Blaine Lidsky after he reached via a single that led off the inning.
  • After Gaspar drew a walk in the sixth inning to make it 3-1, the Skyhawks utilized a four-run eighth inning (7-1) to put the contest away which featured a Farragher three-run homer to left-center.
