BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 8, 2022)- The Stonehill College baseball team scored a season-high 17 runs in a game that saw six different Skyhawks record an RBI as the squad went on to top Bloomfield College, 17-6. Along with today's win, Heach Coach Patrick Boen'89 earned his 600th career win. Boen now joins former Franklin Pierce University Head Coach, Jayson King (616 wins) and Bob DeFelice (709 wins) as the only three coaches in Northeast-10 Conference history to have 600 or more wins.

Standout Performances:

Key Moments:

  • The Bears jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after scoring two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings that featured RBI doubles from both Justin Rivera and Justin Sanchez in both innings.
  • However, in the bottom of the fifth inning, Stonehill evened things up that featured three different Skyhawks record an RBI. Lucier ended up grabbing the first RBI in the inning when he singled and drove home Brandon Taylor. In the next at-bat, Blaine Lidsky also hit a single and scored Farragher. Mike Swanholm then drove in two after an RBI double to help give Stonehill momentum the rest of the way.
  • Despite Bloomfield retaking the lead off a Sanchez home run (5-4) in the top of the sixth, the purple and white pulled ahead for good with another four-run inning (8-5). After Farragher scored Jack Marshall from third (led off the inning with a walk), Lucier ripped the go-ahead RBI double which scored Conor Kiely and Ryan Douglas
  • Stonehill really broke things open in the seventh when the Skyhawks scored seven runs (15-6) that featured a Ciulla-Hall three-run homer for his second of the season.  The Skyhawks went on to tack on two more runs in the eighth (17-6) after Farragher smacked an RBI double which ended up ultimately being the final score.
