Key Moments

  • Stonehill struck right away in the first as the squad jumped out to a 4-0 lead highlighted by a two-run shot to left from Ciulla-Hall which scored Parks after he singled earlier in the frame. Ciulla-Hall has now homered in back-to-back games and each home run has been for two or more runs.
  • Later in the inning, Douglas ripped a two-run RBI double down the left field line and brought the Skyhawks run total to four. Douglas' two-rbi game is just the second multi-rbi game in his career.
  • Matt Tyman got the nod Monday and pitched a solid five innings which included a stretch where he did not allow a hit through the first two innings.
  • The Skyhawks increased their lead to five in the fourth when Ciulla-Hall drove in Taylor Gaspar after Gaspar singled to lead off the inning. Ciulla-Hall finished Monday with three RBIs which marked his third game of the year with three RBIs.
  • For the next three innings, Stonehill's pitching kept the Wildcats at bay but in the seventh, Kansas State cut the deficit to two with a three-run seventh highlighted by RBIs from Cash Rugley and Dom Hughes.
  • Kansas State struck again in the eighth with two more runs and evened things at five after Brendan Jones drove in Hughes. In the ninth, the Wildcats completed the comeback on a walk-off single from Cole Johnson.
