Baseball Downed In Series Finale At Tarleton State

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS (February 26, 2023)- The Stonehill College baseball team wrapped up their four-game series with the Tarleton State Texans and fell, 22-6 Sunday afternoon at the TCU Baseball Complex.

Key Moments

  • Tarleton State started off quickly by posting two seven-run innings in the first and second which featured an RBI double from Cris Enriquez in the first.
  • After a three-run bottom of the fourth from the Texans, Stonehill cut into the deficit with a five-run fifth. Ciulla-Hall highlighted the inning with a three-run home run to left center for the program's first Division I homer. 
  • Between the seventh and eighth, the hosts tacked on five more runs and increased their lead to 17. However, in the ninth, Swanholm launched the Skyhawks second home run of the game to right center. Despite the late home run, Tarleton State would not surrender another run to secure the series sweep.
