EASTON, Mass. (May 12, 2022)- For the second time in his career, Stonehill College junior outfielder, Conor Kiely was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® first team in District I, as selected by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in the East Region. Kiely is now eligible for Academic All-America® honors, selected by CoSIDA's Academic All-America® committee, as well as voters from Division II, to be announced in June.

Kiely who earned a 3.77 cumulative grade-point average after his third year in the Purple & White, is majoring in finance, and was one of five honorees from the Northeast-10 Conference out of 11 recipients in District I. Kiely is the fifth name from the program that has received the recognition, and the seventh awardee, as he joined Christian Baglini '15 to have earned the honor twice.

Coming into the year, Kiely was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-East Region Second Team and lived up to the strong expectations. The junior outfielder had yet another solid season for the Skyhawks as he set career high's in hits (48) and runs scored (34). Overall, he finished with a .293 batting average, recorded six doubles and two triples, drove in 15 RBIs, drew 10 walks, posted an on-base percentage of .371, and slugged .354. During the year, he had 15 multi-hit games and went on a 14-game hit streak from April 10-May 5. Kiely posted another year of having double-digit steals (10) which led the team on the season. In the outfield, the junior had a career-high in putouts (74) with zero errors to have his second-ever perfect fielding percentage (1.000). 

In terms of the team, Kiely was one of the squad's top offensive student-athletes ranking in the top 10 in multiple categories: hits (fourth), RBIs (seventh), batting average (fifth), on-base percentage (eighth), runs scored (third), triples (first), and doubles (sixth).

Stonehill wrapped up the season 18-29 and 7-17 in the NE10. With their 18 wins, it marked the 34th time the Skyhawks have recorded 15 or more wins and have done so for the past 25 of 26 straight seasons (2020 finished 8-5 due to COVID-19).
