Three Skyhawks head coaches and teams set to be featured in Zoom sessions through spring semester

EASTON, Mass. (January 26, 2022) – The Stonehill College Offices of Alumni Engagement and Athletics are teaming up once again to welcome back their "Coffee with the Coaches" panel, a series of Zoom panels that give alumni, fans and parents an inside look at their programs.
After the departments hosted a series of seven "Coffee with the Coaches" panels in the fall of 2020, there will be three Zoom panels on Fridays at noon scheduled over the course of the spring semester, starting with women's ice hockey head coach and 2014 Olympic Gold Medalist Tara Watchorn on Friday, February 11 – at the midway point of the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games and three days after Team USA and Canada are scheduled to square off in a women's ice hockey prelim – at noon. She will be joined by assistant coach Megan Myers and the two will give some insight into the program's preparations for their inaugural season in 2022-23 as members of the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA).

The Zoom panels will continue Friday, March 18 (noon), with baseball head coach Patrick Boen, '89 and then Friday, April 8 (noon), with women's lacrosse head coach Katie Conover, '03. Those two coaches will also be joined on the zoom by student-athletes from their teams.
Stonehill, an NCAA Division II member that competes in the Northeast-10 Conference, offering 23 intercollegiate varsity sports, boasts one of the top athletic and academic programs in the country. Stonehill has won the Northeast-10 Presidents' Cup six times, all coming within the last 15 years. The Skyhawks have received the NCAA Division II Presidents' Award for Academic Achievement each of the first ten years of the program's existence of honoring institutions with an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90-percent or better.
