Standout Performances:

Key Moments:

  • With two outs in the first, Matt Farragher kept the inning alive when he sent a single right back to the pitcher. In the next at-bat, Lidsky sent a double down the left-field line that allowed Farragher to score all the way from first for the quick 1-0 Skyhawks lead. Lidsky's RBI is his 34th of the year and he currently leads the team and is now ranked within the top five (third) of the NE10.
  • However, Southern Connecticut responded in the bottom half of the frame when they plated three runs including a two-run home run off the bat of Andrew Eng
  • Later in the bottom of the third, the Owls struck again from a solo home run by Bill Sullivan
  • The Skyhawks threatened in the top half of the sixth after Jack Marshall singled to move up Trey Ciulla-Hall with two outs. Brandon Taylor was hit by a pitch to load the bases, but Owls starter, Steve Phillips ended the threat on a flyout.
  • Southern Connecticut added four more runs in the eighth that featured an RBI single from Eng.
  • Peter Haas got the start for the Skyhawks and tossed six innings and allowed four runs (three earned) and struck out eight. It is the sixth time this season Haas struck five or more batters in an outing and now has 50 strikeouts on the season. His 50 strikeouts lead the team and currently have him ranked within the top-10 (fifth) of the NE10.
