Standout Performances

Key Moments

  • Holy Cross wasted no time as the visitors jumped out to a 7-0 lead through the first 2.5 innings however, in the bottom half of the third, Stonehill cut the deficit to five (7-2) led by an RBI single from Sam Parks that found a gap on the left side of the infield. Later in the inning, Blaine Lidsky recorded his eighth RBI of the season when he notched a single to right.
  • The Crusaders posted their second five-run inning in the fourth to go up 10 (12-2) but in the bottom of the fourth, the Skyhawks grabbed one run back courtesy of a Dylan Zemotel RBI single that plated Chris Roberti after he had a double earlier in the frame.
  • However, in the seventh, Holy Cross had their largest scoring inning when the Crusaders scored eight runs to go up 20-5. The Purple and White tacked on two more in the final inning (20-7) from RBIs by Max Martin and Ryan Flaherty but ultimately Holy Cross grabbed the final out for the nonconference win. Martin drove in Kidder who led the inning off with his first career triple and Flaherty brought home Matthew Vivona after he was hit by a pitch earlier in the inning.
