MANCHESTER, N.H. (October 19, 2021) - Saint Anselm College and Stonehill College battled to a five-set thriller, with none of the sets decided by more than three points, before notching a 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 15-12) victory in Northeast-10 Conference volleyball action at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium tonight.

The Details

• Junior Lauren Casey scored a team-high 20 points for Saint Anselm, delivering a team-high 13 kills, while adding an impressive seven service aces.
• Junior Michelle Henwood distributed a match-high 45 assists for Saint Anselm in the match, with five kills, 11 digs and four block assists.
• Junior Basia Peragine continued her hot streak for Stonehill with 15 kills, two digs and two block assists.
• Senior Abby Remick contributed a double-double for Stonehill with 11 kills and 17 digs.
• Senior Lauren Wilke dished out 28 assists and four aces for Stonehill.
• After Stonehill took the opening set, Saint Anselm responded by winning the next two to grab the advantage. The Hawks gained control of the third set by breaking a 16-16 deadlock on Casey's serve, grabbing a 21-17 advantage.
• Stonehill crept back to within two points (23-21) but Saint Anselm was able to close the set out and take a 2-1 sets lead thanks to kills from junior Lois Dogbe (Winchester, California) and freshman Gabby Belcher.

  Stonehill earned the late advantage in the fourth set to force the deciding set. Leading by a point (21-20) the Skyhawks took advantage of some timely service and attack errors to claim control and force the fifth and decisive set.
• A Stonehill attack error and kill from Belcher broke an 11-all deadlock in the fifth set as the Hawks sealed the set win on a kill by Casey.
• The loss is just Stonehill's second since dropping its first four matches of the season, having now won 14 of its last 16 after having a nine-match win streak halted this afternoon.
