  • Coming out of the break, Alaska Fairbanks wasted little time gaining its first lead of the contest just 1:06 into the second period off Macaulay's third goal of the season.
  • At the 7:50 mark of the second, the Nanooks scored their third goal off the stick of Risk, the team leader in scoring.
  • The Nanooks would open the floodgates in the third, tacking six unanswered goals on the board off the sticks of Hilfiker (6:15), Risk (8:46), graduate student Jonny Sorenson (14:50), Macaulay (16:35), junior Arvils Bergmanis (19:23), and Lawson-Body (19:53).
  • The Nanooks' offensive attack proved too much for the Skyhawks to overcome, and they eventually fell to Alaska Fairbanks by a final score of 9-1.
