EASTON, Mass. (August 7, 2023)- Cameron Collins of the Stonehill College men's ice hockey team was named a Krampade All-American Scholar for the 2022-23 season, as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA). Collins was one of 283 Division I student-athletes to earn the honor for the 2022-23 year.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each term of the school year and had to appear in at least 40 percent of the team's games, with exceptions granted to injured players and backup goaltenders.

Last year in his collegiate hockey debut, the freshman played in 23 games and scored three goals, and dished out 10 assists (13 points). Collins scored first career goal in a 7-0 win at New England College (Oct. 25) and also had two multi-assist games (Oct. 25 at New England College and Feb. 18 vs. Framingham State).

Stonehill wrapped up their first Division I season with an impressive 17-6-2 record which was also a program record. The Skyhawks started out the season on a 12-game unbeaten streak and in that stretch, the squad had a seven-game win streak. Coming into the new year, Collins and the Skyhawks kick off the 2023-24 season at Northeastern University on Oct. at 7 p.m.
