EASTON, Mass. (February 14, 2024) – Sophomore Greg Japchen and junior Cam Mannion were recognized by Everything College Hockey (ECH) as the Sponges of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The defensive pair paved the way for the Skyhawks during Saturday's 4-2 victory at home over Lindenwood University that saw the squad block 30 total shots, matching their season-high mark set against Long Island University on October 30th. Stonehill's victory over Lindenwood also marked the program's first-ever NCAA Division I win.

Japchen blocked a game-high eight shots on the night, while Mannion added seven of his own, including three straight during a 20 second stretch on the penalty kill against the Lions.
