EASTON, Mass. (April 21, 2011) – Six members of the Stonehill College women's tennis team have been named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team for their performances this season. Junior Amy Toegemann (Narragansett, R.I./The Lincoln School) leads the list of honorees as the recipient of the F. Paul Bogan Memorial Sportsmanship Award. Sophomores Paige Frost (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit) and Chelsea Haedrich (Islip, N.Y./Islip) and juniors Sarah Hickey (Lee, Mass./Lee) and Toegemann were named to the first team; junior Leah White (Walpole, Mass./Bishop Feehan) was selected to the second team at singles and doubles; and freshman Kaitlyn Martin (Medway, Mass./Medway) was named to the second team at doubles and third team at singles, and was an All-Rookie honoree.

Toegemann was selected as the recipient of the Bogan Memorial Sportsmanship Award by the conference's 14 head coaches. Toegemann is 10-4 at the No. 2 singles position this season, including a 7-2 record in NE-10 competition, and 13-1 overall in doubles play to anchor the No. 3 position throughout the spring.

The team of Toegemann and Haedrich have posted an 11-1 overall record this season at No. 3 doubles with a perfect 8-0 mark in conference play, earning a selection to the All-Conference first team. They are currently 10-1 in the third spot and have picked up a win at No. 2 on their way to building an 11-match winning streak. Toegemann and Haedrich each earn their second career All-Conference selection: Toegemann was named to the first team at No. 1 doubles and All-Rookie squad in 2009, and Haedrich last season earned first team honors at No. 6 singles, second team honors at No. 3 doubles with Jacquelyn Harrow, and an All-Rookie selection.

Frost earns her second career selection to the first team, claiming the honors at No. 4 singles. Frost leads the Skyhawks in singles victories this season with a 23-2 overall record, including an 11-2 mark at No. 4 and a 4-0 record at the No. 3 position, and has been untouchable in NE-10 play with a 13-0 run in conference competition. This fall, Frost won her first career regional championship, claiming the B-flight singles title at the USTA/ITA East Regional Championships in Philadelphia with an 8-3 victory over Goldey-Beacom College's Laura Cure in the final round.

Hickey was named to the first team for the third consecutive year with her selection at No. 6 singles. She has posted a spotless 15-0 overall record this season, winning 13 matches at No. 6 and one each at the fourth and fifth positions as she went 10-0 in conference play. Hickey now owns a perfect 48-0 lifetime record in singles competition during her three-year career. She earned All-Conference honors at the No. 5 singles position as a freshman and at No. 4 as a sophomore, and was also an All-Rookie Team honoree in 2009.

White becomes a two-time All-Conference honoree with her selection to the second team at No. 3 singles. White is 12-2 in the No. 3 slot this season, and has also picked up three wins at No. 2 and one at No. 1 as she owns a 16-4 overall record for the year. She earns her second All-Conference selection at the No. 3 position, after she was a first team selection there in 2009 as the NE-10 Freshman of the Year.

Martin is a third team honoree at the No. 5 singles position, and was also selected to the All-Rookie squad. In her first collegiate season, Martin has compiled an 18-5 overall singles record, including an 11-2 mark in the NE-10. Martin was recognized for her consistent performance throughout the season as a six-time NE-10 Rookie of the Week honoree.

White and Martin were also named to the second team at No. 2 doubles to cap an outstanding regular season for the pair. Posting a 12-1 record in NE-10 play, White and Martin have racked up a team-best 24-3 overall record with a 16-3 mark at the No. 2 position, winning two tournament titles during the season. The duo won the B-flight doubles bracket at the Salve Regina Grass Court Doubles Invitational in their first competition together, and a week later captured the B-flight doubles title at the USTA/ITA East Regional Championships.
