Frost and Haedrich don't drop a single game in becoming double-winners
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 3, 2010) – Stonehill College, ranked fourth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Regional rankings, closed out its fall season with a dominating 9-0 victory at Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference women's tennis action today.
Sophomore Paige Frost (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit) and Chelsea Haedrich (Islip, N.Y./Islip) led the double-winners for Stonehill as the duo didn't drop a single game all afternoon, opening by combining to post an 8-0 victory at third doubles. Frost then cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles, while Haedrich posted an identical triumph at sixth singles.
Freshman Kaitlyn Martin (Medway, Mass./Medway) also swept to a 6-0, 6-0 win at fourth singles after teaming up with junior Paige Frost (Walpole, Mass./Bishop Feehan) for an 8-1 victory at second doubles. White rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 decision at No. 2 singles. Senior captain Lindsey Herchel (Hampden, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) rounded out the double-winners for the Skyhawks, posting a 6-2, 6-2 win at first singles after combining with sophomore Jacquelyn Harrow (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) for an 8-1 win at first doubles.
Stonehill (4-0, 3-0 NE-10) is off until the spring season, the schedule will be released in the next couple of months. Le Moyne (1-3, 1-2 NE-10) hosts Southern New Hampshire University next Sunday at 10 a.m.
