Women's Track and Field Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors

2022 USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams

EASTON, Mass. (July 15, 2022)- The Stonehill College women's track & field team has been recognized as a 2022 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division II All-Academic Team, as announced by the organization earlier this week. 

In order to qualify for All-Academic Team awards, a squad must post a cumulative team grade point average of 3.00 or higher. Stonehill, which registered a 3.20 team GPA, was among 149 women's teams to earn All-Academic Team status. The highest GPA of 3.725 was represented by Kentucky Wesleyan College. Stonehill matched averages with Lincoln University of Missouri, as eight teams represented the Northeast-10 Conference on the women's side.

Stonehill wrapped up the season by taking third place at the NE10 Outdoor Championships and marked the eighth year in a row the team has finished within the top three. The Skyhawks also sent two to the New England Outdoor Championships in which Madison Rousseau set a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.38 seconds. Stonehill also saw 11 student-athletes earn USTFCCCA All-East Region honors for their strong performances throughout the season including multiple honors for seniors Jillian Howard in the 1500m and 3000m steeplechase and Krista Stracqualursi in both the shot put and discus.
