NE10 Weekly Release

EASTON, Mass. (April 19, 2022)- For the second time this season, freshman thrower, Madison Gunderway has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie Of The Week as announced by the conference office earlier this afternoon. 

At the Merrimack Alumni Classic last week, Gunderway continued her strong outdoor season by setting a new personal best in the hammer throw with a toss of 42.53 meters for third place. Each time she has competed in this event, Gunderway has always finished within the top three.

Overall, on the season, Gunderway has set a new personal best each time she competed in the hammer throw. Two weeks ago at the Southern New Hampshire Spring Invitational, she had a throw of 42.42-meters which had topped her previous career-high of 42.34 meters from the UMass Lowell Invitational. 

Stonehill is back in action next Saturday, April 23, when it competes at the Holy Cross Invitational in Worcester. Stonehill will host its 13^th Skyhawk Invitational the following weekend, on Saturday, April 30, at W.B. Mason Stadium, before hosting the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on May 6-7.
