Holte Named to Northeast Conference Rookie Team

EASTON, Mass. (April 25, 2024) – Stonehill College women's tennis first-year student Julie Holte was named to the Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team, the league announced Thursday afternoon.

Holte, an NEC Prime Performer from three weeks ago, becomes the first Skyhawk to earn All-Conference distinctions during Stonehill's NCAA Division I era. The Oslo, Norway native also marks the first all-conference honoree since the 2020-21 campaign.

Holte and her doubles partner, sophomore Anneliese Beltran formed a formidable team. They combined for a 12-6 doubles record, holding the No. 1 doubles slot. Their 12 wins ranked second in the NEC amongst doubles pairings. In addition to her double's success, Holte also recorded four singles wins throughout the season, three of which came in tournament play.

At the University of Rhode Island Fall Invitational, Holte swept her way through the singles competition, defeating postgrad Nadia Rajan of URI and sophomore Lucia Pino of Bryant University. The first-year student capped off her tournament victories with a three-set win over senior Alexa Wilson of Siena College at the ITA Northeast Regional Tournament on October 6.
