Women's Tennis Falls to LIU in 2024 Spring Season Opener

LAKEVILLE, Mass. (February 3, 2024) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision inside the Lakeville Athletic Club to LIU Saturday afternoon.

Highlights

  • Senior Leo Boisseau and senior Saki Oyama led four double-winners on the day for LIU as the duo combined for a win at No. 1 doubles while Boisseau didn't drop a point on her way to a win at No. 1 singles and Oyama eased to a win at No. 4 singles.
  • Senior Clara Tardivel and freshman Mia Tsoukalas also posted singles and doubles wins for the Sharks.
  • Tardivel and Tsoukalas teamed up to take down first-year duo of Madison Warren and Alice Brito do Rio at No. 2 doubles, 6-2.
  • Junior Marissa Such narrowly earned a win in No. 6 singles against senior Jasmine Maduel. However, Maduel edged out Such, 6-4, in the second set to earn the sweep and cap off the 7-0 victory for LIU.
