HAVERHILL, Mass. (February 24, 2024) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team earned a 5-2 match victory over Northeast Conference (NEC) foe Merrimack College Saturday afternoon.

Highlights

Stonehill swept Merrimack in doubles play to earn the first point of the conference matchup.
Sophomore Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez and junior Marissa Such took home a 6-2 victory at No. 3 doubles over sophomore Giulia Martins Cavalcante and freshman Kenzie Legg.
Sophomore Anneliese Beltran and first-year Julie Holte combined to earn their team-leading fifth doubles win of the year at the No. 1 slot.
Freshman Madison Warren won her second NCAA Division I match at No. 3 singles against senior Nikala Tuffanelli, 6-2, 6-2.
Freshman Alice Brito do Rio secured her first collegiate win after battling sophomore Jordan Philips to a three-set, 7-5, 6-3, 10-6, victory at No. 4 singles.
Zuluaga Rodriguez clinched her double win on the day and the match victory for the Skyhawks at No. 5 singles.
The sophomore out of Medellin, Colombia, took down Martins-Cavalcante, 6-3, 6-3, before junior Jenna Gustafson would add her second win of the season at No. 6 singles.
