Women's Tennis Drops Monday Afternoon Match to Saint Joseph's

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 4, 2024) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision Monday afternoon to Saint Jospeh's University in Orlando, Florida.

Highlights

  • Stonehill earned the doubles point after winning the No. 1 and No. 2 matchups. 
  • Sophomore Anneliese Beltran and first-year student Julie Holte earned their seventh doubles win of the season against senior Fabiana Tort-Umpierre and first-year Victoria Tracey. 
  • Securing the doubles point in the match for the Skyhawks was the first-year duo of Madison Warren and Alice Brito do Rio.
  • Warren and Brito do Rio combined for their second doubles victory of the season at the No. 2 slot against junior Ana Ocasio and senior Kirsten Wijnsema.
  • After Stonehill secured the doubles point, Saint Joseph's would sweep the singles competition to win the 6-1 match over the Skyhawks.
