EASTON, Mass. (April 20, 2012) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team has placed three singles players and two doubles teams on the All-Northeast-10 Conference teams as announced by the league office based on their performance during the 2011-12 regular season.

Freshman Meryl Lawrence (North Scituate, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) heads the list of All-Conference performers by earning All-NE-10 first team honors at No. 6 singles. Senior Sarah Hickey (Lee, Mass./Lee) and junior Paige Frost (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit) both earn second team All-NE-10 honors at No. 4 and No. 3 singles, respectively, while the duo also collect third team honors for No. 1 doubles. Senior Bacall Brooks (York, Maine/Saint Thomas Aquinas) and junior Jacquelyn Harrow (North Reading, Mass./North Reading) also combined to earn second team All-Conference accolades for No. 2 doubles. In addition, freshman Katie Gilligan (Wakefield, R.I./The Prout School) and Lawrence were both voted to the NE-10 All-Rookie team by the Conference's 14 head coaches.

Lawrence went unbeaten in her first loop around the Northeast-10 regular season as a freshman, finishing 13-0 in Conference play, having posted an 18-2 overall singles mark, going 10-1 at No. 6 and 5-0 at No. 5. She earned NE-10 Rookie of the Week honors once and has won her last 12 singles matches heading into the postseason. Lawrence has also posted a combined 14-2 doubles record this season, including a 5-0 clip with her current partner, senior Amy Toegemann (Narragansett, R.I./The Lincoln School) at No. 3. She is 10-0 in NE-10 doubles matches and 12-1 overall at No. 3 doubles with four different partners.

Hickey collects All-Northeast-10 honors in singles for the fourth-straight year after capping her career with a perfect 35-0 mark in NE-10 regular season singles matches. She is 10-2 overall this season, including a 9-0 mark in NE-10 matches, going 5-2 at No. 4 and 5-0 at o. 5 singles. Hickey has earned six All-Northeast-10 honors overall, with her four singles awards to go with two honors in doubles, despite just playing the spring season after performing as the starting goalkeeper for the Stonehill women's soccer program.

Hickey, an NE-10 All-Rookie team selection as a freshman, is a combined 92-10 in singles and doubles play over her career at Stonehill. She won the first 48 singles matches of her career and is currently 58-2 after seeing her streak snapped to start the season, including her 35-0 career NE-10 mark. She is a combined 34-8 in doubles, going 19-2 in NE-10 matches.

Hickey and Frost have combined to post a 10-3 doubles mark this spring, including a 7-2 clip in NE-10 matches. It marks the first time the duo have earned All-Northeast-10 honors together, but Hickey earned first team honors at No. 3 doubles as a freshman. This marks Frost's first doubles All-Conference award.

Frost earned All-Northeast-10 singles honors for the third-straight year with her second team honors this season. She is 8-4 overall for singles this season, including a 7-2 clip on NE-10 matches, posting a 4-3 mark at No. 3 and going 4-1 at No. 4. Frost had won her first 30 NE-10 singles matches before having her streak broken this spring.

Frost, an NE-10 All-Rookie team selection as a freshman, earned first team All-NE-10 honors at No. 4 singles as a sophomore and first team honors at No. 5 her freshman season. She has posted a career combined record of 80-16 in singles and doubles play, going 80-6 for singles, including a 32-2 clip in NE-10 matches, while posting a combined 30-10 doubles record, 16-3 in the NE-10. Frost, who has earned NE-10 and Athletic Director's Honor Roll honors every semester at the College, also recently received the St. Thomas Aquinas Medal for the second-straight year for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the women's tennis team.

Brooks and Harrow have teamed up to post a 10-3 doubles record this season, including an 8-1 mark in NE-10 matches, to earn All-Conference honors as a team for the first time. The All-Conference selection is the first for Brooks over her four year career and marks the second for Harrow who collected second team honors at No. 3 doubles as a freshman.

Brooks is 27-9 in doubles play over her career for Stonehill, including a 14-4 overall doubles mark this season. She is 19-2 in NE-10 matches over her four years, including a 12-1 clip this season. Brooks has also posted a 7-1 singles record at Stonehill, going 7-0 in NE-10 singles matches. She has also earned NE-10 Commissioner's and Athletic Director's Honor Roll status every semester at the College.

Harrow is a combined 43-15 in doubles play over her three years at Stonehill, including a 26-4 mark in NE-10 matches. She has also posted a 5-2 singles record this season, going 4-0 in NE-10 matches at No. 6. Harrow is 16-5 over her career for singles play, including a 9-0 record in NE-10 matches. The NE-10 All-Rookie team selection as a freshman has earned NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll status every semester at the College and Athletic Director's Honor Roll two semesters.

Gilligan earns All-Rookie team honors after a freshman season where she has posted a combined 18-8 record in singles and doubles. She has seen time at five different singles flights, posting a 14-7 overall record, including 9-4 in NE-10 play, and going 3-2 at her present flight at No. 2. Gilligan is 4-1 for doubles play during her freshman campaign, including a 3-0 clip with Lawrence at No. 3. She also earned NE-10 Commissioner's and Athletic Director's Honor Roll status for the fall semester.

Stonehill (14-4, 12-1 NE-10) is the top seed for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament after claiming a share of its sixth NE-10 regular season championship. The Skyhawks, ranked sixth in the most recent NCAA Division II East Regional rankings, hosts fourth-seeded Saint Michael's College in an NE-10 semifinal match on Friday at 2 p.m.
