EASTON, Mass. (October 20, 2011) – Stonehill College senior Leah White (Walpole, Mass./Bishop Feehan) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis by the league office this afternoon.

White earns the weekly honor for the second time during the fall season after picking up a pair of top flight wins in Stonehill's 9-0 decision over Le Moyne College on Sunday. She battled past Dolphins senior Caroline Tisdell 6-1, 0-6, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1 singles after teaming up with junior Jennifer Denyes (Bradenton, Fla./St. Stephen Episcopal) for an 8-1 decision at No. 1 doubles.

White is a combined 8-4 in singles and doubles play fall portion of the schedule for Stonehill. She is 4-2 in singles play, posting a 4-1 mark at No. 1 singles, including a 4-0 clip in Northeast-10 action, as her lone loss is a setback at Division I Providence. White is 4-2 in doubles play, teaming up with Denyes for a 3-1 mark at No. 1 doubles after splitting two matches with fellow senior Amy Toegemann (Narragansett, R.I./The Lincoln School).
