Nutt and Hammersley Earn NE10 Postseason Honors

EASTON, Massachusetts (November 11, 2019) – The Stonehill College men's soccer duo of senior Keegan Nutt and freshman Andrew Hammersley were named to Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference teams, as announced by the league on Monday.

Nutt was named to the NE10 All-Conference second team, while Hammersley was tabbed on the NE10 All-Rookie Team.

Nutt was not only a defensive force on the field, but he also tied for first on the team in goals, assists, and points for the season. The senior tallied five goals, matching his career high, while he chipped in two assists, for a career high. The total of 12 points was also a career high for the wing back. The Easton, Massachusetts native went three-for-three this season on penalty kicks, as he brings his career total to four goals off a penalty kick. His three penalty goals happened in a 2-1 loss to Holy Family University, a 3-2 win over Concordia (N.Y.) College, and a 4-3 victory over the College of Saint Rose.

Nutt has appeared in 65 games of the 68 games started in his career. He has combined for 30 points with 12 goals and six assists. Last season, the defender was named to the NE10 All-Conference third team, as he has also been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

The 2016 graduate of Oliver Ames High School, he was named All-League Honorable Mention his freshman year and All-League first team his sophomore year. He was also named Hockomock All-Star and Brockton Enterprise All-Star junior year, while being tabbed as Hockomock All-Star, Brockton Enterprise All-Star, Boston Globe Player of the Week, and Eastern Massachusetts All-Star senior year.

Hammersley, who appeared in 15 games with 14 starts in the 17-game season, totaled 105 saves for a .815 save percentage. He combined for a 1.70 goals against average, as the teams' overall goals against average was 2.03 for the season.

Around the NE10, the freshman led the Conference in saves, second in save percentage, sixth in minutes played, and 11th in goals against average and goals against (24). Early in the season, Hammersley was named NE10 Rookie of the Week as they Skyhawks went 2-0 with a 2-1 win over Bentley University and a 3-2 victory over Concordia (N.Y.) College, as he recorded his first-career victory.

The 2019 graduate of Chaminade High School, Hammersley played soccer and was named to the Honor Roll three years. He played for the Hota Soccer Club and PDB Academy.

Stonehill wrapped up its regular season with a 4-12-1 overall record and a 2-9-1 NE10 Conference mark.
