Skyhawks Shutout By Falcons, 1-0

Boisvert's first half goal the difference for Bentley University                

WALTHAM, Mass. (September 29, 2011) – The Stonehill College men's soccer team lost a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) decision to host Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon.

Freshman Louis Boisvert (South Windsor, Conn./Kingswood Oxford) netted the contest's lone goal at 23:21 and senior goalkeeper Matt Reynolds (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin) turned away five shots to push the Falcons to their fourth win in five tries (4-1-0).

Michael Dias (Weymouth, Mass./Weymouth) set up Boisvert's third marker of the season chipping a ball through the Skyhawks defense into the box for Boisvert who finished on a close-range shot past Stonehill freshman goalkeeper Adam Colella (Wilmington, Mass./St. John's Prep.) for a 1-0 lead. Colella played all 90 minutes in the contest making three saves.

Both teams were even in shots at 13-13 for the game posting identical numbers in each half with six coming in the first and seven chances in the second. Bentley won the corners matchup, 6-2, over Stonehill.

The Skyhawks (4-5, 2-3 NE-10) host Saint Michael's on Saturday, October 1 in NE-10 action scheduled for 1 p.m. The Falcons (5-2-1, 4-1 NE-10) travel to New Haven on Sunday, October 2 for a 2:30 p.m. start.
