SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 5, 2011) – The Stonehill College men's soccer team fell to American International College (AIC), 3-2, in overtime on Wednesday night at Ronald J. Abdow Field in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) action.

Junior midfielder Kevin Pereira (Ludlow, Mass./Ludlow) led the Yellow Jackets with the game-winning goal at 91:30 and an additional tally in the second half. Senior forward/midfielder Drou Goff (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) opened up the scoring early in the contest at the 18:11 mark.

For Stonehill, senior forward Mark Bolster (Narragansett, R.I./Narragansett) notched both goals including the game-tying goal at 88:03 for his team-leading sixth marker of the season.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jason Ryan (Peabody, Mass./Peabody Veteran Memorial) turned away three shots for the Yellow Jackets in the win. Freshman counterpart Adam Colella (Wilmington, Mass./St. John's Prep.) made three stops in net for the Skyhawks.

AIC outshot Stonehill, 15-14, while both teams tied in corners with four apiece.

The Skyhawks (5-6-0, 3-4-0 NE-10) return to action at home on Saturday, October 8 against Merrack College in NE-10 action at 3:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets (4-5-2, 3-3-1 NE-10) travel to Saint Michael's in a NE-10 matchup on Saturday at 1 p.m.
