EASTON, Massachusetts (July 2, 2021) – The Stonehill College baseball team saw sophomore outfielder Conor Kiely voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® first team in District I, as selected by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in the East Region. Kiely is now eligible for Academic All-America® honors, selected by CoSIDA's Academic All-America® committee, as well as voters from Division II, to be announced in July.

Kiely who earned a 3.77 cumulative grade-point average after his second year in the Purple & White, is majoring in finance, and was one of six honorees from the Northeast-10 Conference out of 12 recipients in District I. Kiely is the fifth name from the program that has received the recognition, and the sixth awardee, as Christian Baglini '15 earned the honor twice.

Most recently, the sophomore was named to the NE10 Academic All-Conference team and was also the fifth name added to the list for the Skyhawks, and sixth to receive the honor as Baglini once again earned the award twice. In the beginning of June, the outfielder was also named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-East Region second team and prior to that he was tabbed to the NE10 All-Conference first team and the NE10 All-Rookie Team. He has been named to the NE10 Academic and Athletic Director's Honor Rolls and the Dean's List.

The Skyhawks finished fifth in the Northeast Division in the Conference and Kiely led the team this year with a .400 batting average as he was in the leadoff spot. The sophomore also led the team in RBI, hits, runs scored, at bats, on-base and slugging percentage. He went 46-for-115 at the plate driving in 23 RBI, walking 14 times. He tallied six doubles and two triples, crossing the plate 30 times. With his .496 on-base percentage and not being caught once, Kiely stole 18 bases, sitting second on the team. In the outfield, the sophomore totaled 34 putouts for the Skyhawks allowing just two errors.

Among the Conference, Kiely ranks fourth in hits (46), fifth in stolen bases (18), sixth in batting average (.400) and on-base percentage (.496), 13th in runs scored (30), and 25th in RBI (23). The sophomore attended Bishop Hendricken and graduated from Bridgton Academy. He helped the team to the Division 1 State Championship freshman year and was named to the All-State first team, All-Division first team, ABCA Rawlings Northeast All-Region Team, and Academic All-State team senior year.

Stonehill wrapped up the season 17-15 overall and 12-12 in Conference play making its 17th NE10 Tournament appearance in program history and first since 2015.
