Northeast-10 Conference Announces Spring 2021 Academic Honor Roll

EASTON, Mass. (July 9, 2021)– The Northeast-10 Conference has announced its Academic Honor Roll for the Spring 2021 semester, recognizing 339 student-athletes from Stonehill who have earned a semester grade-point average of 3.00 or higher.

The NE10 Academic Honor Roll acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes in the classroom with three distinctions – Academic Excellence (4.00 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA), and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA). Of the 4,203 student-athletes that were named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll, 339 Skyhawks represented Stonehill, which is 82-percent of the student-athlete population. 13-of-14 NE10 full member institutions had at least 50-percent of their student-athletes earn Honor Roll status. Stonehill saw the third-best number on the Honor Roll, as Bentley University totaled 461 and Assumption University followed with 397 student-athletes.

Among the 339 Skyhawk student-athletes named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll, 22 earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. Four programs led the way with three perfect 4.0's including baseball, football, women's soccer and men's track & field. On the men's side, basketball led the way with 88-percent of the team making the honor roll, with cross country next with 87-percent and tennis third with 80-percent. On the women's side soccer had 96-percent represented on the honor roll, while basketball was second with 92-percent and softball was third with 89-percent.

Recent graduate Michael McShane and junior Camryn Thompson, respectively on the men's and women's soccer teams, both earned 4.0's this semester and they also were voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® I first team. Half of the 22 4.0 GPAs were from in-season student-athletes, including baseball's Billy Duff, Edward Beauregard Jr., Matt Tyman, women's lacrosse's Bailey Grant, softball's Genna Hartman and Julia Perrone, men's track & field's Desmond Bernal, Evan Kennedy, Shane Braz, and women's track & field's Isabelle Angelini and Isabella Kennedy.
