NE10 2021 Baseball Schedule Announcement

EASTON, Mass. (February 23, 2021) – Stonehill College in conjunction with the Northeast-10 Conference, has announced its 2021 baseball schedule today. It marks the first in a series of spring schedule announcements by the Conference over the next week.

Stonehill will play a 24-game divisional NE10 baseball schedule starting Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28, against Southern New Hampshire University at Lou Gorman '53 Field. The teams are scheduled for noon doubleheaders each day, with a nine and seven inning game on Saturday, and then seven and nine-inning contests on Sunday. Stonehill's 2021 season will open the previous weekend with a pair of non-conference doubleheaders at rival Bentley University on March 20-21.

All dates and times are subject to change by weather and COVID-19 health and safety protocols. All teams will be subject to follow NE10 COVID-19 testing protocols, in addition to health and safety guidelines from their institutions and local communities. The safety and well-being of student-athletes and the Stonehill community remains the primary focus of the College and NE10. In addition, Stonehill's NE10 series at Saint Michael's College on April 3-4 is expected to be adjusted for the Easter holiday.

Stonehill's season-opening series at Bentley would mark the College's first intercollegiate competition since March 13, 2020, when softball wrapped up its spring break trip at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the baseball team last played the day prior with a 9-2 win over Adelphi University in Boca Raton, Florida, on March 12. Stonehill's weekend series with SNHU, would be the baseball team's first home games since a 4-2 rain-shortened win over Saint Anselm College on May 3, 2019.

Stonehill is thus far scheduled for 12 home games at Gorman Field, with four-game weekend NE10 series against Southern New Hampshire (March 27-28), Assumption College (April 10-11) and Saint Anselm College (May 1-2). The NE10 Tournament dates and format are yet to be announced.

Attendance policies will be determined individually by NE10 institutions, but schools will work to provide live streams of home baseball games when possible on NE10 NOW – the digital home of the NE10. Stonehill home games will be available through SkyhawksVision on NE10 NOW, and in addition to watching online, viewers will also be able to watch the action live on their televisions through Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.

Stonehill posted an 8-5 record in 2020, before its season was cut short to the COVID-19 pandemic, winning four of its last five games of the abbreviated season.
