EASTON, Mass. (November 24, 2021) – Stonehill College freshman Jami Hepburn has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week for women's swimming and diving, the league office announced.

Hepburn posted the second-best time in the Northeast-10 for the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.00) this season to highlight three top two finishes in her six individual swims over two events for Stonehill last week. She set the program record in the 100-yard breaststroke at Bridgewater State University on Wednesday, helping the Skyhawks claim a head-to-head win over the Bears in a tri-meet with Wheaton (Mass.) College. She also recorded a personal-best of 27.17-seconds in a fifth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.

In Saturday's dual meet at Assumption University, marking the Skyhawks first ever competition against an NE10 opponent, Hepburn posted a pair of second place finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:12.32) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:39.12), while taking sixth in the 50-yard freestyle (27.72). She was also part of Stonehill's 200-yard medley relay that finished third at Bridgewater State (1:55.90) and posted a time of 1:56.7 at Assumption on Saturday.

Hepburn has competed in all four of Stonehill's meets in officially its inaugural season in program history after the Skyhawks took part in virtual events during the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020-21. She currently ranks second on the team for the 50-yard freestyle (27.17-seconds), while ranking first on the team in all three breaststroke distances, ranking third in the NE10 at 50-yards (32.29), second in the 100 (1:09.00) and sixth in the 200 (2:35.69). Hepburn has recorded three event wins, eight top three finishes and ten top five's in her 11 individual swims so far this season.

Stonehill will be off for the holiday weekend before returning to action at the ECAC Winter Championships at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, New York, December 3-5.
