Men's Soccer Trio Earn All-NEC Honors

EASTON, Mass. (November 7, 2023) – Three members of the Stonehill College men's soccer program collected All-Northeast Conference honors as selected by the league's eight head coaches the conference announced this afternoon.

Senior captain Jacob Woznicki, junior midfielder Colin Milliken, and freshman forward Tiago Lima-Bittencourt were each voted to the All-NEC teams. The trio gives Stonehill four All-NEC selections over the first two years of the program's transition to NCAA Division I status after Woznicki was a second team pick a season ago. The men's soccer program has now had 75 All-Conference selections over its 60-year history.

Woznicki was an offensive force for Stonehill this season as he had a career year for the Skyhawks setting multiple career highs in goals (9), assists (4), points (22), and shots on goal percentage (.535). The Bristol, Conn., native throughout the season was a two-time NEC Prime Performer and was also named the Player of the Week after his hat trick performance against Howard University on October 8th. His mark of nine goals was a team-high and in the NEC, Woznicki ranked within the top-three in both goals (third) and points (third).

Milliken was named to the All-NEC second team for his performance throughout the season where he set career-highs across the board in goals (6), assists (4), points (16), shots (31), and shots on goal (15). The Easton, Mass., native was recognized as an NEC Prime Performer for the Skyhawks after the first week of the season, where he contributed on all three goals in the Stonehill 3-3 draw against La Salle on August 24th. Milliken's mark of six goals on the season ranked him second on the team and in the NEC, the junior midfielder ranked within the top-10 in multiple categories including goals (eighth), points (eighth), shots (ninth), and shots on goal (seventh).

Bittencourt made an immediate impact for Stonehill in his first collegiate season to earn All-NEC rookie team distinctions, as he started in 10 games for the Skyhawks this fall with three goals for six points on the season. The Charlotte, N.C., native earned himself an NEC Rookie of the Week and Prime Performer accolade on October 2nd after netting the game-winning goal in the final 22 seconds of the match against Sacred Heart. Bittencourt's mark of three goals ranked him third on the team behind Woznicki (9) and Milliken (6).

Stonehill finished its season with a 3-8-5 record and 1-4-3 record in NEC play. The Skyhawks lone conference win came against Howard University on October 8 in a 3-2 win. Highlighting the Skyhawks season was their 2-1 thrilling victory over Boston College on October 17, marking the first win in school history over an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent.
