To qualify a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for each semester during the 2023-24 academic year and must appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.

Schreifels graduated in May with a degree in management after transferring from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) following the 2022-23 season where he was recognized as an AHCA/Krampade All-American Scholar three times. Since coming to Stonehill, Schreifels has been named to the Dean's List both semesters, while also earning a spot on the Northeast Conference (NEC) Commissioner's and Academic Honor Roll for his performance both in the classroom and on the ice.

Schreifels appeared in 36 games for the Skyhawks this season where he ranked second on the squad in scoring and first on the team with 79 shots on goal, setting career-high marks across the board. The Newbury Park, Calif., native netted eight goals and dished out eight assists for single-season career-high mark of 16 points, two off the team-leader sophomore Frank Ireland.

Stonehill's season was highlighted by the squad earning the program's first NCAA Division I win against Lindenwood University at home inside the Bridgewater Ice Arena on Saturday, February 10, 4-2. Contributing to the Skyhawks offensive scoring output against the Lions, Schreifels assisted on a Jake LaRusso lamp lighter in the second period to give Stonehill then a 2-1 advantage on the scoreboard. In addition to the junior forward contributing to the historic team victory, he also added three multi-point outings throughout the season which was tied for the team lead.
