How It Happened

  • RMU came out of the gates strong, as Krotiris scored his fourth goal of the season at the 5:01 mark of the opening frame to jump out to an early one-goal lead.
  • Just over three minutes later, the Colonials would tack another goal on the board after Reineke converted on assists by freshman McKay Hayes and Craig.
  • Klimpke capped off the scoring in the first period for RMU after netting his first goal of the game and fifth on the season.
  • The Colonials would extend their lead again in the second period to 5-0 after back-to-back goals from St. Onge and Zacher.
  • Stonehill found a way to respond at the 14:11 mark of the middle frame, as FitzPatrick scored his first goal of the season after cross-ice passes from Pineo and Allen found the stick of FitzPatrick, who sent a one-timer into the back of the cage.
  • However, Robert Morris would tack three more goals on the board over the next 25 minutes of game action to secure the 8-1 victory over the Skyhawks.
