PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (October 2, 2021) - Pace University dealt Stonehill College, ranked No. 5 in this week's Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll, its first Conference setback of the season with a 3-1 victory in Northeast-10 Conference field hockey action at Finnerty Field this afternoon.

The Details

  • Senior Grace Henderson made four of her six saves in the second half to keep Stonehill at bay as Pace scored the final two goal of the contest to claim the victory and snap the Skyhawks seven game win streak.
  • Freshman Noelle Meij's second goal of the season opened the scoring for Pace just 6:48 into the contest.

    Sophomore Raegan Hickey equalized 8:03 into the second half with her team-leading seventh goal of the season off a pass from Claudia Crowe.
  • Pace responded quickly to regain the lead when freshman Krista Dietz scored her fifth of the season with 56-seconds left in the third quarter.
  • Pace sealed the win with 5:29 remaining in the fourth quarter as junior Cienna Bosher potted her fourth goal of the year.
  • Senior Abigail Campbell registered eight saves in the cage for Stonehill.
