EASTON, Mass. (September 28, 2021) – Three members of the Stonehill College field hockey program, ranked No. 5 in last week's Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II poll, have collected weekly awards from the Northeast-10 Conference for their roles in a 2-0 week. It marks the fourth-straight week to start the season that Stonehill has earned multiple weekly honors from the NE10.

Stonehill has collected NE10 Defensive Player of the Week all four weeks this season to date, as sophomore back Madeleine McGee, also named the NFHCA Division II Defensive Player of the Week last week, earns the NE10 honors for the second-straight week after junior Andrea Caradonna received the award the first two weeks of the season. Senior Abigail Campbell has been named the NE10's Goalkeeper of the Week for the second-straight week, while sophomore forward Raegan Hickey is the NE10 Rookie of the Week for the third time in four weeks.

Campbell earns her second career NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week after averaging 9.5 saves per game while posting a 0.50 goals against average and .950 save percentage with a shutout in Stonehill's 2-0 week. She capped the week with a career-high 13 saves, including 12 in the second half, to preserve a two-goal lead and notch her third shutout of the season in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Adelphi University. Campbell registered six stops in Wednesday's 4-1 win at Franklin Pierce University.

Campbell has started all eight games for Stonehill in goal this season and ranks second in the NE10 and third nationally in Division II with her 0.80 goals against average, posting a Division II-best .895 save percentage, with 6.38 saves per game to rank ninth in the Conference. She has three shutouts, owns a 7-1 record in the cage and has played 450-minutes

Campbell has played 12 games in total over her four-year Stonehill career, posting a 0.80 GAA and .881 save percentage in 524:37.

McGee earns NE10 Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the second time in her career after keying the Stonehill defense again that posted a 0.50 goals against average, with one shutout in the 2-0 week, collecting a defensive save in the process. The Skyhawks backline limited its opponents to 15.5 shots per game, including 10.5 on goal, and 4.5 penalty corners. McGee is a member of the Stonehill corner defense that didn't allow a goal on nine opposing corner attempts for the week. Stonehill opened by holding Franklin Pierce to 12 shots, including eight on goal, while notching her third defensive save of the season in the 4-1 win. The Skyhawks defense held Adelphi to just two shots in the first half in building a two-goal halftime lead on its way to a fourth shutout of the season.

McGee has started all eight games on the Stonehill backline in what is her first collegiate season after her freshman season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to her three defensive saves that rank second in the NE10 and third nationally in Division II, McGee has chipped in with a goal on the offensive end. Stonehill leads the NE10 and ranks second in Division II with its 0.88 team goals against average, while leading the country with its four shutouts in eight games.

Hickey earns NE10 Rookie of the Week honors for the third time in four weeks this season after collecting the award the first two weeks of the season as well. She had a hand in four of Stonehill's six goals in the 2-0 week, finishing with two goals and two assists for six points, including the game winning goal in Saturday's 2-0 win over Adelphi. Hickey notched a goal and assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win at Franklin Pierce, while repeating that effort as the Skyhawks scored both of its goals against Adelphi in the first half, with her game winning goal coming 4:48 into the contest.

Hickey has started all eight games of her first collegiate season after the COVID-19 pandemic cancelled Stonehill's 2020 season. She leads the Skyhawks in goals, assists and points, with her 17 points good for second among NE10 leaders (14th nationally), her five assists tied for second (6th) and her six goals tied for third (17th). Hickey is also second in the NE10 with her team-high two game winning goals, having figured in the scoring of 11 of Stonehill's 24 goals this season.

Stonehill (7-1, 5-0 NE10) is on the road for a pair of games this week, starting this evening at Southern New Hampshire University for an NE10 matchup at 6 p.m. The Skyhawks visit Pace University on Saturday at 4 p.m., before retuning home next Wednesday, October 6, to host Saint Michael's College for their Faculty Appreciation Game at W.B. Mason Stadium at 3:30 p.m.
