NE10 Announces Volleyball Postseason Awards

EASTON, Mass. (November 18, 2021) – Stonehill College third year head coach Craig Martin has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Sandy Hoffman Coach of the Year, with four members of the volleyball program earning All-NE10 honors and a fifth collecting NE10 All-Rookie Team accolades, as selected by the Conference's 14 head coaches, the league announced.

Senior Abby Remick headlines the list of four All-NE10 selections for Stonehill with a spot on the first team. Classmate Shannon Burgess and junior Basia Peragine were both named to the All-NE10 second team, while senior Carly Russell has earned All-NE10 third team honors.

Stonehill's four All-NE10 selections matches the program-record set in 2011 and give the program 42 All-Conference honorees in program history overall. It marks the second-straight season the Skyhawks have had an All-NE10 first team pick, with Remick joining former teammate Sophia Poveda, '21 who was a first team selection in 2019, and Remick is the 13th first team selection in program history overall.

Martin is just the third Stonehill head coach to earn the NE10's Sandy Hoffman Coach of the Year award after guiding the Skyhawks atop the NCAA Division II East Regional rankings for the first time in program history. He is the first Stonehill coach to earn NE10 Coach of the Year honors since Lauren Amundson in 2011, while Nguyen Le earned the honors in 1996.
