EASTON, Mass. (October 16, 2021) - Stonehill College swept its way to a 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball win over Saint Michael's College (25-14, 25-14, 25-19) at Merkert Gymnasium this evening.

The Details

• Junior Basia Peragine and sophomore Jentry Allen combined for 21 kills, with just two attack errors on 38 total attacks, to lead Stonehill. Allen posted a team-high 11 kills and posted a .429 hitting percentage, while Peragine added ten kills, without an error, for a .588 hitting percentage in the match.
• Junior Molly Turner dished out 22 assists for Stonehill, with two service aces and four digs.
• Stonehill scored the first four points of the opening set to grab the lead quick on Remick's serve, including two aces, before scoring the final six points to seal the opening set on the serve of freshman Bianca Fitch, while Jentry and senior Shannon Burgess each contributed two kills.

• Turner dished out 22 assists for the Skyhawks

  Stonehill jumped out quick again in the second set, scoring the first six points on the serve of Turner, capped by back-to-back aces, to take control.
• Saint Michael's grabbed a 4-1 edge in the third set after consecutive kills from sophomore Caitlin O'Connor.
• Stonehill rallied with the next seven points on the serve of senior Carly Russell to grab the set lead (8-4) when Peragine followed consecutive aces by Russell with a kill.
• Stonehill kept the Purple Knights at arm's length the rest of the way to close out its nine-straight win and 14^th over the last 15 overall, while improving to 4-0 in NE10 play.
