Merkert Gymnasium is the home of Stonehill basketball and volleyball. With newly installed bleachers, the current capacity of Merkert is 1,560. It is equipped with five team locker rooms, complete with showers, and two staff/officials locker rooms.  

Located in the College Center, Merkert Gym houses athletic training facilities and offices for the men's and women's basketball and volleyball coaches. 

Merkert has hosted numerous conference tournaments and conference championship games for men's and women's basketball and volleyball and was the site of the 2006 and 2010 NCAA Men's Basketball East Regional. The Merk also hosted the 2018 NCAA Women's Basketball East Regional Championship.
