The Details:

  • Midway through the first, Assumption struck first (9:17) when Devan Sheth capitalized on a power-play opportunity for the Greyhounds when he snuck the puck past Stonehill goalie, John Day.
  • Assumption continued their offensive push when they added two quick goals to begin the second off the sticks of Alexander Mavrogiann and Michael Zampanti at 18:58 and 18:12 respectively.
  • However, late on in the second, the Skyhawks cut the deficit to 3-1 with 2:15 left after Seoane corralled lead passes from Charles Page and Ryan King for him to send his shot past Greyhounds goalie, Thomas McLarnon.
  • Despite now only being down two, Assumption quickly responded with just 48 seconds left in the period Robert Holyoke beat Day and made it 4-1 to end the period.
  • In just 20 seconds to begin the third, the Greyhounds John Fine-Lease increased their lead to four (5-1). With just under two minutes though, Seoane netted his second goal of the evening after he corralled a Page missed shot to send it past McLarnon in front of the net.
