How it Happened

  • Jackson and the Skyhawks defense were put to work early as Fairleigh Dickinson registered four shots on goal in the opening 11 minutes of the contest.

  • The Knights would open the scoring in the 14th minute after a corner kick taken by Hausen was headed by Ougaard and tapped in just in front of the goal line by Luperon.

  • Stonehill looked to go on the attack in the middle third of the opening half as graduate student Emma Slade, senior Yara Fawaz, and junior Grace Caso recorded shots on goal over a two-minute span.

  • However, both sides would remain scoreless throughout the remainder of the opening half, as FDU took a 1-0 lead into the break.

  • The Knights extended their lead to 2-0 in the 66th minute after Martinez found the back of the net for her first career goal off a cross from Salas and pass from Hausen.

  • FDU capped off the scoring at the 82:02 mark of the game after a turnover inside the box resulted in a goal off the boot of Cardaba.
