Eisenmann Earns NFCA All-Region Honors

East Bridgewater, Mass. senior named to East-Region Second Team

EASTON, Mass. (May 13, 2013) – Senior designated player/pitcher Nicole Eisenmann (East Bridgewater, Mass./East Bridgewater) of the Stonehill College softball team was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Eisenmann was named to the NFCA Division II All-East Region Second Team following a record-breaking season with the softball team. The award marks her second postseason honor of the year after she was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Second Team last week.

The senior recorded one of the most productive seasons by any Skyhawks player in team history. Eisenmann hit .373 (59-for-158) with 10 doubles, one triple, 14 home runs, 46 RBI, 21 walks, 32 runs scored, a .450 on-base percentage, and a .715 slugging percentage. She led the team in batting average, doubles, home runs, and RBI. Her 32 runs, 21 walks, and 59 hits all ranked second on the team during the year.

Eisenmann's numbers this season catapulted her to the top of Stonehill's record-books. Her 14 home runs and 46 RBI are the most recorded by any student-athlete during a single season in Stonehill history. She also registered the third most walks (32) and fourth most hits (59) by a Skyhawk in school history. Eisenmann now owns a number of career-records for Stonehill, ranking first in RBI (125) and hits (200), second in home runs (27), and third in doubles (200) and batting average (.366).
