FIRST HALF

  • Stony Brook responded with three straight three-pointers of their own to take a 19-11 lead just over five minutes into the first half.
  • Stonehill trimmed its deficit to just two points after four points from sophomore Chas Stinson (Charlotte, N.C.) made the score 21-19.

  • A layup from freshman Se'yphon Triplett (Springfield, Mass.) followed by a Stinson three-pointer brought Stonehill within 13 but the Seawolves continued to respond to the Skyhawk runs, going up by as much as 19, 62-43, with 9:52 left to play.
  • Stonehill would go on a 9-2 run as they trailed 64-52 but the 12-point differential would be the closest the Skyhawks would get to the Seawolves over the final eight minutes of the game.
