Stonehill's upcoming match against LIU is a significant milestone for the team, marking their first-ever participation in the NEC Championship Tournament during the NCAA Division I era. With a 3-19 overall record and a 1-6 performance against conference opponents this season, the Skyhawks are ready to make their mark. Their first program victory against an NEC opponent was a decisive 5-2 win over Merrimack College on February 24.

Sophomore Anneliese Beltran and first-year student Julie Holte have been instrumental in Stonehill's success this year. They have emerged as the conference-leading doubles pairing, securing 13 wins and a .650-win percentage, which ranks them fourth among qualified doubles combinations in the NEC.

In addition to Beltran and Holte's success in doubles competition, sophomore Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez and first-year student Madison Warren have led the way in singles play. Zuluaga Rodriguez has won a team-best six singles matches, while Warren has had five singles victories.

The winner of Friday's Skyhawks vs. Sharks match will advance to face the winner of the No. 3 Saint Francis vs. No. 6 Wagner College matchup.
