Women's Tennis Falls to Seton Hall in Spring Break Opener

ORLANDO, Fla. (March 3, 2024) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team dropped its spring break opener to Seton Hall, 5-1, Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Florida.  

Highlights

  • Sophomore Anneliese Beltran and first-year Julie Holte combined for their sixth doubles win of the season at the No. 1 slot against junior Arabella Moen and junior Hili Kronzon.
  • Freshman Madison Warren's No. 3 singles match against first-year Niamh Campbell ended unfinished, with Warren leading the second set 4-3 after taking set one 6-4 over Campbell. 
  • Sophomore Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez earned the lone point for the Skyhawks at No. 5 singles on the day.
  • Zuluaga Rodriguez battled sophomore Aili Hietala, traded 6-2 decisions in the first two sets to force a tie-breaking third, where the sophomore Skyhawk would earn her third singles win of the season, 10-6.
  • Despite earning a point at No. 5 singles, Seton Hall would dominate the rest of the competition, not dropping a set and taking home a 5-1 victory against Stonehill.
