BRONX, N.Y. - (September 16, 2023) – Marist College secured a 7-0 victory over Stonehill College in a non-conference women's tennis match on day two of the Fordham Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Highlights

Sophomore Anneliese Beltran and first-year student Julie Holte battled to a 7-6 (7-4) victory in No. 1 doubles for the Skyhawks lone victory against the Red Foxes.
Sophomore Camila Zuluaga Rodriguez put up a valiant effort in No. 3 singles, splitting the first two sets with junior Ellen Zureick before falling in the third set.
Rodriguez fell behind early, 8-4, in the third set but found a way to battle back, eventually bringing the game to even at 10-10. However, Zureick would pull away and secure the third set and No. 3 singles victory at 12-10.
Sophomore Cloe Clements Sorde and first-year student Jane Wright led the match as double-winners for Marist.
The duo helped the Red Foxes clinch the doubles point with their 6-1 wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, before also sweeping No. 1 and No. 4 singles.
