Holte Sweeps Singles Play at URI Invitational

KINGSTON, R.I. (October 1, 2023) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team competed at the University of Rhode Island Fall Invitational on Sunday in Kingston, Rhode Island.

Highlights

  • First-year student Julie Holte swept her way through singles competition, defeating her first-round opponent graduate student Nadia Rajan from the University of Rhode Island in three sets, 0-6, 6-1, 11-9.
  • Holte rounded out the sweep and her double-win on the day in round two, taking down first-year student Lucia Pino of Bryant University in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
  • Junior Marissa Such earned her team-leading third singles win of the season for the Skyhawks in round one of singles play, defeating first-year student Nicole Isman out of Bryant University in three sets, finishing 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.
