CAMBRIDGE, Mass (October 6-7, 2023) – Stonehill women's tennis's dynamic doubles duo of first-year student Julie Holte and sophomore Anneliese Beltran teamed up for their fourth doubles win of the fall campaign this weekend at the ITA Northeast Regional Tournament, hosted by Harvard University.
Holte highlighted the weekend with an incredible comeback performance in singles competition on Friday. The first-year student out of Oslo, Norway battled her way back from down 5-1 in the third set against Siena College senior Alexa Wilson to take home the opening round victory in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 10-6. However, Holte would eventually fall in the round of 64 on Saturday to first-year student Kate Kim out of the host Crimson of Harvard University, 6-0, 1-0.
Beltran and Holte teamed up for the respective seventh and eighth times this season in doubles competition on Friday. The duo earned an 8-1 victory in round one over senior Emma Boggliali and first-year student Manuela Gomez from Siena College, before falling in round two, 8-4, to junior Jamie Kim and first-year student Shyla Aggarwal of Yale.
